Your 24/7 Watchdog
Some anchorages and moorings are very safe, others less so. Dinghy thefts and even boardings have become more common. Like having a good watchdog on board, a Barking Boat SailorAlert™ System lets you sleep a little more securely, knowing that you will be alerted to a potential problem before it happens.
Advanced Technology
Sensors mounted inside the vessel hull transmit an ultra low-power doppler radar signal to detect movement outside. Because water doesn't reflect the signal back, only movement of objects on the water is detected. Additionally, the sensors are not triggered by changes in temperature. The sensors detect movement outside the vessel up to 8 meters (26 feet) away.
Max Inspired Security
A product inspired by our dog, Max! Ever vigilent, he has provided us with over a decade of protection and companionship. We found that taking naps and sleeping was much easier with Max keeping a watchful eye on everything around the boat. But what about cruisers that don't have a dog on board? So we created an electronic version of Max. Of course SailorAlert™ won't provide companionship, at least not in this version!
Protect What's Valuable
This is a system that won't wait for someone to have climbed aboard before triggering an alert. Any approach will trigger the sensor, immediately alerting the boat owner or crew. This real-time notification allows for quick response and the potential to stop theft or vandalism, preventing costly damages and losses. Thwart attempts before they get too serious!
Simple Installation
Units are installed internally, and create a monitored area around your vessel. No thru-holes needed as the detecting signal is transmitted thru-hull. Each unit comes pre-wired with marine grade wire so you just need to make the connections to the Zone Monitoring Module and apply power. A very realistic sounding dog bark is activated wirelessly, allowing you to place the device in any part of your boat, inside or outside. Additionally a dry relay contact gives you many options, such as automatically turning deck lights on.
Protection Zone
The sensors work together to create a protection zone around your vessel. You can even set up a sensor under where the dinghy is normally raised, as a dinghy on davits out of the water can be cut down if someone is allowed access. Potential theives will be greeted with an agitated sounding dog bark. Optionally you can wire the Barking Boat SailorAlert™ to deck lights, further causing a potential thief to question their determination.

The SailorAlert™ two sensor system provides a zone monitor with two wired sensor modules usually placed inside the port and starboard sides on vessels shorter than 9 meters (30'), or on vessels with an inaccessible transom. Creates an alert zone approximately 8 meters around the port and starboard sides of the vessel. The included barking dog sound generator is actived wirelessly. A dry relay double-throw contact is also provided for connection to lights, or similar device.
The SailorAlert™ three sensor system provides a zone monitor and three wired sensor modules usually placed inside the port, starboard and transom on vessels larger than 9 meters. Creates an alert zone approximately 8 meters around that section of the vessel. The included barking dog sound generator is actived wirelessly. A dry relay double-throw contact is also provided for connection to lights or similar device.
